Four Teens Arrested at July 4 Fireworks
The following arrest information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Four teenagers were arrested at the Maplewood 4th of July Fireworks event last night in Memorial Park where two of them were caught throwing lighted fireworks at spectators.
Maplewood's Independence Day may not have been quite as "fairytale" as Patch had previously reported, but no-one was injured in the incidents and the .
Maplewood Police arrested Asmar Wright, 19, of Laurel Ave, Union, and charged him with Disorderly Conduct and Possession of Fireworks after officers saw him setting off the devices and throwing them into the crowd.

During the arrest of Wright, Princess Davis, 18, of Irvington Avenue in Maplewood, repeatedly interfered with the officers which led to her being charged with Disorderly Conduct, according to police. Both Wright and Davis were issued summonses and later released from custody.
Two juveniles were also taken into custody and charged in separate incidents inside the park area. A 16-year-old boy from Ricord Street in Newark was charged with Possession of Fireworks by officers and later released. A 14-year-old boy from Springfield Avenue in Maplewood was also charged with Possession of Fireworks after officers observed him throwing firecrackers at people near the bridge on Oakview Avenue.

June 28, 2011: Theft from Auto- A Lexington Ave resident reported to Police that her 2001 Subaru Legacy was entered sometime during the overnight hours. The actor removed a TomTom EL 350TM GPS from the dashboard of the car and rummaged through the glove box. A second resident from Lexington Avenue also reported that their car was entered but no items were missing. Both of the autos were left unlocked by the owners.
June 29, 2011: Warrant Arrest- Patrols responded to a compliant of an erratic driver in the area of Elmwood Ave around 8:30 pm and located a red Chrysler mini-van driven by Antwon Johnson, 25, of Ohio Street, Maplewood. A computer check showed that Johnson was driving with a suspended license and he had two warrants for his arrest. Johnson was issued a summons for driving while suspended and was arrested on the outstanding warrants.
July 1, 2011: Theft of Tools- Patrols responded to the at 1545 Springfield Avenue at 1:30 in the afternoon when a man from Somerset reported that someone removed tools from the rear of his work truck. The victim reported that a large tool box and a Milwaukee Hole Hog drill were taken while he was inside the store. The actor is described as a black male 6’ to 6’2” tall, wearing a dark colored t-shirt, long pants, and a blue baseball cap.
