Hi, I’m Sensei Carmen, owner of Empty Hands School of Martial Arts - the original karate and tae kwon do school of Maplewood/South Orange; established in 1971; 25 years of after-school programs. Seeking new students for the beginner classes. They are offered through the South Mountain YMCA - you can go to their website to enroll. They are perfect for kids and parents who are interested in taking an entry level class to get exercise and learn about martial arts. There will also be a board-breaking contest at 11:10 sharp. Break one board, get a chance at two. 2 class times: 11:10 and 12:00. The first class is always free.
