Major Power Outage Leaves Parts Of Maplewood Without Electricity
A major power outage left several Maplewood residents without electricity on Tuesday evening, authorities said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — A major power outage left several Maplewood residents without electricity on Tuesday evening, authorities said.
The Maplewood Police Department announced at 9:19 p.m. that a “major power outage” was affecting the township. PSE&G and county officials were notified about the incident, authorities said.
Around 10 p.m., police announced that power was restored on Parker and Boyden avenues and Irvington Avenue.

At 10:16 p.m., police released the following statement:
“Due to a transformer issue, Maplewood Ave will be closed from West Parker Ave to Walton Rd. PSE&G has been notified for service.”
