Man Injures Head, Face Falling from Back of Golf Cart

A member of the Maplewood Country Club was injured when he fell from the back of a golf cart Friday evening.

A 41-year-old man suffered head and facial injuries on Friday night when he fell from the back of a golf cart at the Maplewood Country Club.

Maplewood Police report that they were notified at 8:18 p.m. after the man, a member of the club, fell off the back of a golf cart in the area of the 11th fairway and struck his head on the cart path. 

The Maplewood Fire Department EMS responded and transported the patient to UMDNJ with the assistance of Paramedics from MONOC, a non-profit health care cooperative. The cart was being driven by another member of the club when the accident occurred, according to Maplewood police.
