Man Who Allegedly Threw Bleach At Woman In Maplewood Diner Arrested: Police
After weeks of searching for a man who allegedly threw bleach at a woman at the Maplewood Diner, police say they've made an arrest.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Police charged an Irvington man with aggravated assault and harassment on Monday in connection with a March incident in which someone threw bleach in the face of a female staff member at the Maplewood Diner. On March 30, according to police, a man entered the Maplewood Diner around 11:25 a.m. and threw a Gatorade bottle full of bleach at a 47-year-old female staff member.
The man also broke items in the diner before fleeing westbound on Springfield Avenue.

The woman was taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center for evaluation, police said and was later released, the owner said.
On Monday, April 24, Det. Rodrigues charged Keandre Myers, 25, of Irvington, with the aggravated assault.

"Detectives Rodrigues and Rella were able to locate Myers in Elizabeth, NJ after searching for him for several weeks," police said.
He was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of terroristic threats, criminal mischief, and harassment. He was taken to the Essex County Jail.
No release date is listed in his Essex Count prison file.
