Maplewood Avenue between Durand and Inwood in Maplewood Village has re-opened this afternoon after utilities crews made the necessary repairs.
The street re-opened shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday.
A water main break that occurred after 5 a.m. this morning in front of the post office on Maplewood Avenue hampered traffic in the Village for a few hours but did not cancel the annual scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Shortly after 1 p.m. the Village seemed to be humming with strollers and shoppers despite the street closure and repair crews.
