Maplewood Man Charged With Drug Manufacturing: Police

Nnamdi S. Nwigwe was released pending a court appearance, police said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A 28-year-old Maplewood man was arrested and charged on several drug offenses after an incident with police on June 4, according to the Summit Police Department.

According to authorities, Nnamdi S. Nwigwe was arrested and charged with manufacturing/distribution, use of paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. According to the criminal code, a manufacturing charge is when someone manufactures, distributes or dispenses, or possesses or has under their control with intent to manufacture, distribute or dispense, a controlled dangerous substance.

Nwigwe was processed and released with a pending court date, police said.
