A Kensington Terrace resident reports that he was the victim of an armed robbery with a handgun while walking home from the Maplewood train station on Monday evening.
The resident said he was attacked at approximately 7:23 p.m. when he noticed a small four-door, dark-colored vehicle — possibly a mini-van — parked near the intersection of Edgewood Place and Kensington Terrace. As he continued to walk down the street, he noticed three men exit the vehicle and walk towards him. As the victim walked up the steps to his residence, two of the men turned him around, and one produced a small black handgun. The victim turned over $60 in cash, a credit card and other documents. The suspects then entered the vehicle and sped off north on Valley Street.
