Reminder: Secure Your Bikes and Scooters

It's that time of year when long hours of daylight and warm temperatures bring out the kids and bikes. Helmets, trikes, razor scooters, BMXs and Schwinns litter lawns throughout the towns.

But a recent incident serves to remind us that we need to get the kids to put their goods away.

Maplewood police report that on June 6, an Oakland Road resident reported that two bicycles were taken from her backyard during the daytime hours. Neither of the bikes was secured. One of the bicycles is described as a green Trek brand mountain bike and the other is described as a red Avico 20” bicycle.
