Resident Confronts Car Burglar: Maplewood Police

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The Maplewood Police are looking for the person responsible for burglarizing an unlocked car on May 22.

According to authorities, at approximately 2:20 p.m., a resident of Williams Street exited their home and saw a man inside their unsecured vehicle. The resident confronted the man, described as a 6’ tall, 25-year-old Hispanic male missing a front tooth, police said.

The man fled the scene with lottery tickets stolen from the vehicle, police said.
