Shrek the Musical Comes to Town!

One of children’s - and many adults - best-loved stories come to life from March 6-8, when the Montclair Kimberley Academy Upper School presents Shrek the Musical.

Underneath a mean, green exterior lurks the heart of a true hero, brought back to life thanks to a loyal donkey, a gang of memorable fairy-tale characters, an evil lord and a very special princess. Fantastic costumes, sets and score, supported by professional musicians and remarkable student performances will illuminate the stage and guarantee an unforgettable theatrical experience for all the family.

Local students with lead roles include junior Ross Turkington (Essex Fells) as Shrek, sophomore Matt Rubenstein (Ho-Ho-Kus) as Donkey, senior Krissy Bylancik (Verona) as Fiona, senior Trevor Jones (Montclair) as Lord Farquaad, sophomore Liam Gerard (Montclair) as Pinocchio, sophomore Hannah Gross (West Orange) as Gingy and junior Kimani Freeman (Newark) as Dragon.

Taking place in the MKA Weiss Auditorium, 6, Lloyd Road, Montclair, performance times are 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.
