South Mountain YMCA hosts Feb. 6 'Frozen' Fun Night

While celebrating winter, families can see what awaits kids at the Y's summer camps

Families are invited to a night of ‘Frozen’ fun making shimmering snow and snowmen out of marshmallows, meeting Elsa, and dancing and singing to their favorite ‘Frozen’ songs while they check out summer camps at the South Mountain YMCA.

While playing Pin the Nose on the Snowman, sipping hot cocoa and noshing on healthy snacks on Friday, Feb. 6, families can find out about the 14 summer camps for children as young as 2 ½ up to teens entering 10th grade.

From the traditional to the specialized, South Mountain Y camps build campers’ self-esteem, confidence and social skills in a fun, safe and enriching environment. Participants develop independence and wellness awareness through developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences in camps that are accredited by the American Camp Association.

The free ‘Frozen’ Fun Night runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the South Mountain Y, 13 Jefferson Road in Maplewood. Additional camp open houses will be held Friday, March 13 and Saturday, May 2. For more information, go to SMountainYMCA.org or call (973) 762-4145.
