What happens when real estate agents present you with different suggest list prices?

If you’re listing your home for sale and interviewing multiple agents you will more than likely be presented with a few different estimated market values for your home. It’s common to see a range with differences of a few thousand dollars ($5,000-$10,000) So what happens when one agent thinks they should list your house for $25,000 more than the others? You start asking questions and asking for evidence. Is the agent presenting you with a high suggested list price to get your business or do they have the evidence to show that your house can command a high list price? Start by asking how they arrived at that number and ask to see the comps, active inventory and market report that shows average days on market and list price vs. sales price. Take a look at the comps they used-- did they choose homes that are actually similar to yours.
