Two Burglaries, One Attempted Burglary Reported This Week

The following information was provided by the Maplewood Police Department.

The Maplewood Police Department responded to two residential burglaries and one attempted house burglary this past week.

On February 21, the homeowner of a Raymond Terrace residence reported that between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., someone had forced open a rear door. A Gateway Laptop computer and an assortment of jewelry including a wedding ring and an engagement ring were missing from the residence.

Also on February 21, officers responded to a North Terrace residence on a report of an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported that, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., someone had entered the house by removing the screens from two rear windows and a second floor window. The Youth Aid Bureau is investigating.

Finally, on Feb. 23, at approximately 4:03 p.m., Maplewood police responded to an Overlook Terrace residence on a report of a burglary. The police determined that someone had gained entry through a side door and removed an HP Laptop computer, three X-Box video game controllers, multiple X-Box video games, and a Kenneth Cole watch.

The final blotter item of the week is a package theft that was reported on February 22, 2012 when a Brown Street resident reported that a UPS package delivered to his front porch had been removed during the day on Feb. 3.
