Woodbridge Robbery Leads to Maplewood Arrest
The following arrest information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A handgun was thrown from the roof of a house on Van Ness Terrace in Maplewood on Saturday as local and state police entered the home to make a warrant arrest.
Maplewood Police, Woodbridge Police and the New Jersey State Police Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) joined forces on Jan. 14 to arrest a Maplewood teen suspected in an armed robbery of a Woodbridge convenicence stores.
The warrants were obtained as a result of a joint investigation between the Maplewood Police Departemetn Detective Bureau, under the direction of Maplewood Police Detective R. Smith, and the Woodbridge PD Detective Bureau where Maplewood residents were developed as suspects in an armed robbery of a Woodbridge convenience store.

While the NJSP C.E.R.T. team gained entry to the residence, detectives in the rear yard observed a firearm fly off of the roof and into the yard, along with another item. Detectives secured the firearm, a .380 caliber handgun. Inside the residence, the suspect was detained and then transported to Woodbridge for processing. In addition, a 21-year-old female resident was found to have outstanding warrants and was subsequently arrested and released.
