Marlboro Police Again Urge Vigilance About Car Thefts

There has been a spike in car thefts throughout New Jersey, police said.

MARLBORO, NJ — Marlboro Township police are again urging residents to lock their vehicles and take key fobs and garage door openers inside their homes amid ongoing problems with motor vehicle thefts in the area.

The Marlboro police alerted all residents after Patrolman Charles Wilson pulled over a vehicle in a residential area that had five young men from out of the area in it. Marlboro police said there was an arrest made and the vehicle was impounded but did not respond to a Patch request for additional information.

"We would like to remind all of our residents to stay vigilant in the fight against motor vehicle theft. Please lock your doors, remove your key fobs and garage door openers from your vehicles, and as always, if you See Something, Say Something," police said.
