Colts Neck Community Band Joins FTHS Band for Spring Performance
The two will unite to perform on May 3 at Freehold Township High School.
The (FTHS) Band and the Colts Neck Community Band (CNCB) will collaborate in a musical performance on Thursday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Freehold Township High School located at 281 Elton Adelphia Road, Freehold.
“I am excited! My biggest passion as an educator is to show that music is forever," said Mel Chayette, a FTHS graduate and conductor in the Colts Neck Community Band. "It’s nice to have high school students play with us and see that music can continue when there is no more high school band."
The Freehold Township High School Band will open the program with a rousing overture, Abram's Pursuit, and the Colts Neck Community Band will later take the stage to perform two Fillmore marches among other pieces. The evening will conclude with all 165 Freehold Township High School Band and Colts Neck Community Band members giving an electrifying collaborative performance.
