Congratulations Marlboro High School, Class of 2012

Marlboro High School said goodbye on Wednesday to its 43rd senior class.

The heat didn't stop the excitement, as the Marlboro High School Class of 2012 filed in to the stadium.

Valedictorian Alexa Shea and Salutatorian Matthew Herling addressed their class, reminiscing about certain teachers and moments in their lives at .

"It is true, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that we as an aggregate, are special," Heling said. "The class of 2012 can rid the world of social justice. The class of 2012 can fix the broken political process that is impeding our nation's progress. We, the class of 2012, can change the world."

"Marlboro High School is always going to hold a special place in my heart," Shea said. "This is a commencement speech, so I would like to remind you all that this is not the end."

Mayor Jon Hornik delivered a Mayoral Address to the Class of 2012. Hornik graduated from Marlboro High School in 1988.

"If anyone knows what you are feeling today, it is me," he said, offering students the advice that they should never feel they are not prepared, that Marlboro High School and the Marlboro school system has taught them well.

This year, Marlboro High School was  by U.S. News and World Report, and by Newsweek.
