Go Green- Recycle Your Metals At Solomon Schecter

SSDS is holding a Metal Recycling Drive on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the school.

You can drop off scrap metals, old computers and empty clean aluminum cans. Recycling containers will be located in the parking lot.

We will accept the following items:

  • COMPUTERS: Please remember to erase the hard drive of sensitive information before recycling
  • any computer.
  • ALUMINUM CANS: Only empty aluminum cans will be accepted.  
  • SCRAP METAL: Items collected may include copper, copper wire, ferous and non-ferousous materials,appliances (refrigerators, stoves, heaters, washers, dryers, etc.), pipes, beams, posts, cables, wires, scrap metal, cast iron, motor blocks, car parts, metal screen doors, storm windows, old cars (we will pick-up), and bicycles. 

We all know that responsible  recycling is the right thing to do to preserve our environment.

This program will not only make an environmental impact in our community but will earn money for our school!
