"Race to Nowhere" Screening

PROUD (Parents Reaching Out and United with the District), with the support of the Colts Neck PTO and cooperation of Colts Neck High School, will present the documentary “Race to Nowhere” for Colts Neck and surrounding communities.

“Race to Nowhere” is a close-up look at the pressures on today's students, offering an intimate view of lives packed with activities, leaving little room for down-time or family time. Parents today are expected to raise high-achieving children, who are good at everything: academics, sports, the arts, community service.

The panel of educational experts for the Colts Neck screening will feature:

  • Nancy Locascio, BOE President
  • Dr. Fred Oberkehr, Superintendent of Colts Neck Schools
  • Henry Rose, Director of Special Services
  • Colin Rigby, Cedar Drive Middle School Principal
  • Keith Land, Colts Neck High School Principal

This an opportunity to hear the views of these educators and to ask questions of them during the half-hour panel discussion following the screening of the film.

The screening will begin at 7 p.m. sharp for 90 minutes with the panel discussion following the film presentation. Tickets cost $10 in advance, $15 at door if available.
