Everyday Aromatherapy Class

Have you ever come across blog posts or Pinterest pins touting the healthy benefits and promised ease of creating your own home cleaning and personal care items using Essential Oils, but have no idea where or how to find them? Are you thoroughly confused as to why these oils aren’t in the salad dressing aisle, come in small, dark-colored bottles, and have a huge variety of price tags? Then join Heather on February 26th from 6:30-8pm to learn a bit about the history of Aromatherapy, how oils are made, and, most importantly, how to buy and use these oils!

We will pay homage to Rene-Maurice Gattefosse and Marguerite Maury and their ground-breaking research into the uses of essential oils to heal the mind, body, and spirit. We will learn how essential oils are made and how to read their labels, including what to look for and what to stay away from. We will go through a list of the most popular and useful oils, including some tips and recipes on how to use them. And finally, everyone will make and take home a 4oz Room and Body Spray scented from their choice of oils from my collection.

Heather is a massage therapist and reiki practitioner who has studied Clinical Aromatherapy through the East-West School for Herbal and Aromatic Studies. She uses essential oils to personalize her massage and bodywork sessions, and for all aspect of life in-between.
