Marlboro Kindergarten Complement Program Waiting List Open

The waiting list for the , which is coming into its second year, is now open.

The program, held at the  offers enrichment activities, as well as lunch and recess for students. The day lasts from 9:10 am to 3:40 pm, and will offer reading, math, science, social studies, music and art, according to a district news release.

The district is now anticipating several seats will be available, after its initial lottery process. Applications are being accepted for the waiting list.

"Families will be added to the KCP waiting list in order of receipt of their mailed application. If and when a seat becomes available, families will be contacted in the aforementioned order," said a district news release.

• Applications will be accepted by mail only; no walk-ins will be accepted. 
• Tuition for the year is $4,750. 
• First payment of 50% of tuition, or $2,375, is due between July 1-16, 2012. Non-receipt of payment by July 16, will result in an automatic revocation of acceptance into the program. 
• Second payment of 50% of tuition, or $2,375, is due by December 14, 2012. Payment received after that date will be subject to a late fee of 2%. 
• Payments not received by December 14, will result in your child being automatically and permanently removed from the program. Please note that parents/guardians will still be obligated for payment of the total annual tuition of $4,750.

A district news release said, "While KCP will satisfy a growing need for our Marlboro families who are seeking a quality, full-day kindergarten program, it will also continue to provide a significant revenue stream for the district."
