Marlboro's Dr. David Abbott Honored As Superintendent Of The Year

Abbott was honored by the the Monmouth County Superintendents' Roundtable.

Marlboro Superintendent Dr. David Abbott was the first honored by his peers, after the Monmouth County Superintendents’ Roundtable named him Superintendent of the Year.

Abbott was honored at the June 12 Board of Education meeting, and Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik issued a township proclamation in Abbott's honor.

The competition is a part of a larger search for state superintendent of the year which is run by the New Jersey School Boards Association, according to the News Transcript.

Abbott has been Marlboro's K-8 District Superintendent for 15 years.
