The Week of the Young Child, which runs from April 23 to April 27, focuses on early education programs that focus on the needs of the young child, sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

"It is our hope his appearance will raise awareness in our community as to the importance of children's earliest years in shaping their learning and development. This week is a time for all of us to ensure that each and every child experiences the type of early environment, either at home, at child care, at school or in the community, that will promote their early learning", said Carol Vargo, the owner of The Goddard School.
