Water Back on Limited Basis in Marlboro Township Monday, Mayor Jon Hornik Announces

However, water restrictions remain in effect for all Marlboro residents, including customers of Gordons Corner and those with well water.

Marlboro Township, NJ - A water supply issue that affected Marlboro Township all weekend long has now been somewhat resolved, Mayor Jon Hornik announced Monday morning.

"I am pleased to report that Middlesex Water Company (MWC) has completed its repairs and will begin flowing water on a limited basis to Marlboro today," Hornik said. "Middlesex Water Company has indicated that they will continue to flow on a limited basis through the newly-repaired section of pipe for a period of time to ensure that there are no further issues. During this period, the water remains safe to drink and does not need to be boiled."

As of 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a Declaration of Water Emergency was declared for Marlboro Township, after Middlesex Water Company said they had to completely shut down a major water supply line for repairs. All non-essential water use was prohibited, including watering lawns and washing cars.
