Aberdeen Man Hit, Killed By Car Monday Night
It was a local Aberdeen man who was hit by a car on Rt. 35 north at 11 p.m. Monday, and killed:
ABERDEEN, NJ — The Monmouth County Prosecutor released more information about the man hit fatally hit by a car Monday night in Aberdeen:
Shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Monday, December 11, Aberdeen Police responded to the northbound lanes of Rt. 35, between Prospect Avenue and Amboy Road, to find the victim, Jeremy Riccioni, 33.
He had been hit by a car, and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver who hit him was an adult woman operating a 2017 Hyundai Sonata. She remained on the scene, and to date no criminal charges have been filed nor traffic summons issued.
Riccioni lived in Aberdeen, where he is survived by his loving mother, Cassie, and his brother, Dustin. He was predeceased by his father, Gus Riccioni, according to his obituary.

"Jeremy Wayne Riccioni, a man of kindness and thoughtfulness, left this world far too soon on December 12, 2023, at the age of 33," read his obituary. "Those who knew Jeremy would often find him lending a hand to those in need, whether it was through his landscaping business or personal endeavors. His big heart extended beyond his immediate surroundings, touching the lives of many with his genuine concern and actions. Jeremy dedicated much of his time to volunteer work, especially focusing on aiding the homeless. His efforts were particularly felt in Cliffwood Beach and Keansburg, where he was a familiar and welcoming presence to those in need. Visitation will be held Friday, December 15 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Bedle Funeral Home, 212 Main Street, Matawan, NJ. Memorial donations can be made in Jeremy's name to help the homeless. You can send your donation to Saint Marks Center for Community Renewal, 247 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, NJ 07734.
The investigation remains active, and involves members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) and Aberdeen Police.
