Keyport Man Indicted For Gunpoint Sex Assault At Tinton Falls Motel

A Keyport man previously charged​ with sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint in a Tinton Falls motel has now been indicted on the charges.

TINTON FALLS, NJ — A Keyport man previously charged with sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint in a Tinton Falls motel has now been indicted for the alleged crime.

Kareem Lee, 31, of Keyport was indicted this week on four counts: First-degree armed robbery, first-degree aggravated sex assault, and two second-degree gun charges.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on July 21 of this year, Tinton Falls Police were called to a local motel on Rt. 33. Upon arrival, the victim told officers she had been sexually assaulted at gunpoint by a man who had entered her room.

He also threatened to rob the woman of money, said authorities.

Lee was arrested by members of the Red Bank Police Department in Count Basie Park the next day, on the afternoon of July 22.
