Army Major, Wife Guilty of Abusing, Endangering Adopted Children in Morris County
John and Carolyn Jackson will be sentenced in October, report says.

A former Army Major and his wife, stationed at Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County, were found guilty by a federal jury on nearly two dozen counts of child assault and endangerment charges after abusing three adopted children over the course of half a decade.
It took five days of deliberations for a jury to find John Jackson and his wife, Carolyn, guilty of the offenses, nj.com reported.
Attorney General Paul Fishman alleged the couple had fed three adopted children hot sauce and raw onions, broke their bones, and withheld water from them or made them drink from the toilet.

The Jacksons also have three biological children, whom they no longer have custody. It was previously reported that this was the couple’s form of discipline for the children.
Sentencing for the couple is scheduled for Oct. 13, 2015.
