Blast From the Past: Watch Vintage Video of Mendham Firefighters in 1966 Parade

The sun was shining and the firefighters were smiling. The vehicles were buffed to a blinding shine and everyone wore their Sunday best.

That was life in 1966, and it just so happened to be the same day as the Morristown Firemen’s Parade, which included the Mendham Fire Department taking a trip down the road to be part of the festivities.

In an eight-minute long video posted to the fire department’s YouTube account, firefighters can be seen getting ready for the parade, hopping aboard their trucks, and heading east down Rt. 24 to the parade in 1966.

There is no narration in the video, just music, nor are there any descriptions of who appears in the video.
