CVS, Bank, Stores Envisioned by Turkey Farm Developer
Recent proposal to planning board will be discussed at Thursday meeting.
Residents have created a visioning process and group, taken tours of the land, and officials have given input as to what the corner lot of Main Street and Rt. 206 in Chester should hold.
But the owners of the former Larison’s Turkey Farm still wants to see large development on the property, regardless of the opinions.
According to newjerseyhills.com, the current owner of the land told the borough at a planning board meeting he would like to see a CVS store, bank, bed and breakfast, housing and boutique shops built on the land.

The development of the land has arguably been one of, if not the biggest issue in Chester Borough in recent years. Differences of opinion on what to build and how to build it have stalled the process, not to mention the need for a new wastewater management system in the area.
The planning board is currently scheduled to discuss the Larison’s Redevelopment Plan at its next meeting, this Thursday, July 31 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend at 50 North Road.
