Fees Spike at Morristown National Historical Park to Aid Improvements
Daily, annual passes jump to 'enhance visitor experience,' Park Superintendent says.

After months of receiving input from residents and tourists, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately receiving support from county, state, and federal stakeholders, the Morristown National Historical Park has decided to raise its entrance fees.
The move will take effect July 15 and the increases will be used to enhance programs at the park.
Daily entrance fees for Washington’s Headquarters Museum and Ford Mansion will jump from $4 to $7, and will be good for seven consecutive open days.

An annual park pass, good for 365 consecutive days, will jump from $15 to $30 and cover the entrance fee for the pass holder as well as three additional adults.
As usual, visitors under the age of 15 are free, and there is no fee for Jockey Hollow, Fort Nonsense, and the New Jersey Brigade areas.

“The additional revenue raised by the fee increase is going to help make some significant improvements to valuable resources that will enhance the visitor experience,” said Park Superintendent Thomas E. Ross in a statement. “This includes repairing and stabilizing the historic Stark’s Brigade Monument in the Jockey Hollow area of the park, preserving and maintaining the historic Wick Orchard, and upgraded museum exhibits.”
