Mendham Middle School Teacher Earns SHINE Award
Child and Family Resources recognized Hannah Hall with an award honoring excellence in education.
MENDHAM, NJ — A Mountain View Middle School teacher, Hannah Hall, has been recognized with the S.H.I.N.E. Award, an honor created to celebrate work in education.
According to the Mendham Borough School District, the S.H.I.N.E. award is for “an individual in the field of education who Serve Helps Inspire Nurtures (&) Excels.” The recognition comes through Child and Family Resources, which said the award was created as part of its mission to support children and families.
Hall has worked as a fifth-grade special education teacher and coach for seven years, and has been tutoring K-12 for nine. She holds certifications in both elementary and middle school special education.

Additionally, Hall has a Master's Degree in Reading and is actively pursuing a doctorate in special education.
"(Hall) collaborates across content areas to support diverse learners and promote inclusive, instructional practices," the district said. "She is actively involved in her school community as a Student Council Advisor and an after-school study hall monitor, and is deeply committed to advocating for students and fostering academic growth in inclusive learning environments.

"If asked to reflect on which educator had the most significant impact, we can easily recall who that person was," the district says of SHINE recipients. "They worked long hours, went out of their way to motivate and inspire students, and made personal sacrifices. In keeping with our mission to support the development of children and strengthen families, we recognize educators as essential partners."
