MTSD to Host Informational Events as Bond Vote Approaches

The Mendham Township School District would receive nearly 37% in state aid toward major building improvements.

Mendham Township, N.J. -- Mendham Township School District invites the community to several in-person and virtual opportunities in January to learn about the projects included in the Tuesday, Jan. 25 bond referendum.

The district will be asking the community to vote on a $19.9 million proposal. If the referendum is approved, state aid would reduce the local costs of major improvements at both schools by 37 percent, and residents would see a $97 school debt tax decrease annually for a home assessed at the township’s average.

To provide the public with as much information as possible, the district will host two in-person fairs on Thursday, Jan. 6 as well as a virtual community forum on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
