Drivers are urged to avoid the area or plan extra travel time while authorities manage the situation and work toward reopening the road. 
• Chargers Girls Tennis Defeats South Plainfield for Third Straight (tapinto.net) — Middlesex High School's Blue Jays will host the surging Spotswood girls tennis team on Thursday at 4 p.m., as Spotswood rides a three-match winning streak in Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division play. Local fans can expect competitive singles and doubles action after Spotswood's tight 3-2 win over South Plainfield at Spring Lake Park.
