5 More Middletown Teen Boys Earn The Rank Of Eagle Scout

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — This past Saturday, five more young men from Middletown earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

That is a total of 11 teenage boys from Middletown Boy Scout Troop #140 who earned the rank of Eagle Scout this year. Don Antenucci is the Scout Master of Middletown Boy Scout Troop #140, and has held that position for years now.

The five young men are:

Abhinava Pendyala: Fairview Elementary School, Bayshore Middle School, MAST and Middletown High School North. Going to the University of Florida in the fall

Eagle Service project: He planned, organized, gathered materials and donations and then supervised the repainting of a barn to make it not only look better, but also make it a safer area to visit at the Oasis TLC Farm in Middletown. Total hours spent on his Eagle Service Project were 130

Christian Betten: New Monmouth Elementary School, Thorne Middle School, Middletown High School North. Going to the University of New Haven in the fall

Eagle Service Project: He planned, organized, gathered materials and donations and then he supervised the construction of new garden boxes for the community garden at Stevenson Park in Red Bank. Total hours spent on his Eagle Service Project were 52

Matthew Giallanza: New Monmouth Elementary School, Thorne Middle School, Middletown High School North. Going to Rutgers University in the fall

Eagle Service Project: He planned, organized, gathered materials and donations and then he supervised the grounds cleanup in a large area of the New Monmouth Baptist Church property; including weeding, planting of flowers and shrubs, and also spreading mulch in the landscaping areas. Total hours spent on his Eagle Service Project were 99

Brody Christopher Clark: New Monmouth Elementary School, Thorne Middle School, Christian Brothers Academy High School. Going to Merrimack College in the fall

Eagle Service Project: He planned, organized, gathered materials and donations and then he supervised the making of Easter gift baskets to be given to local children in a NJ state foster care program. Total hours spent on his Eagle Service Project were 52.3

Clark Luke Schaul: New Monmouth Elementary School, Thorne Middle School, Christian Brothers Academy High School. Going to Virginia Tech in the Fall

Eagle Service Project: He planned, organized, gathered materials and donations and then he supervised the construction of a 9-11 Memorial for the Ken Tietjen Memorial Foundation. Total hours spent on his Eagle Service Project were 55.5

The five young men had their Eagle Scout ceremony this past Saturday, June 18 at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall in Red Bank.
