4 Public Meetings This Week On Raritan Bay Flood Control
The U.S. Army Corps encourages the public to attend the meetings, which will be Tuesday/Wednesday in Middletown, Aberdeen and Keyport:

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Attention, residents who live along the Raritan Bayshore:
Just a reminder there will be a series of four public meetings this week hosted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
The content of all the meetings will be the same: To brief the public on the Raritan Bay and Sandy Hook Bay Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study process and timeline.

The state and federal government says public input is appreciated. Light refreshments will be served. The meeting schedule is:
- Tuesday, May 23: The first from 2-4 p.m. and the second from 6-8 p.m., both at the Middletown Town Hall Courtroom (1 Kings Highway, Middletown)
- Wednesday, May 24: The first from 2-4 p.m. at the Aberdeen Town Hall Courtroom (1 Aberdeen Square, Aberdeen) and a second one from 6-8 p.m. at the Fiorendo Sigismondi Community Center (651 Prospect Avenue, Keyport)
The Raritan Bay and Sandy Hook Bay Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study is being done by the U.S. Army Corps to evaluate critical infrastructure, transportation and evacuation routes that are at risk due to the effects of coastal storms in the study area, including socially vulnerable areas (e.g., low income, limited English speaking, people of color, etc.).
