Alzheimer's Association Greater NJ Chapter - Volunteer Spotlight

The Alzheimer's Association Greater New Jersey Chapter, the leading volunteer-driven voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, advocacy and research is spotlighting people who make a difference in the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia especially now during National Volunteer Week. Today we say "thank you" to Christine Hopkins, who since 2014, has used her voice and energy in the fight to end Alzheimer’s. Christine saw firsthand the devastation that Alzheimer’s brings while she was a caregiver to her grandmother, and it is why she has dedicated so much of her time to advocate for families like hers.

Christine has held multiple positions, including Alzheimer’s Congressional Team (ACT) Ambassador for New Jersey’s fourth district represented by Congressman Chris Smith, Co-Chair
of the Monmouth-Ocean Walk To End Alzheimer’s Committee as well as a Team Captain, and an Alzheimer’s Impact Movement (AIM) member.

Christine has been instrumental in raising awareness for Alzheimer's disease, public policy issues and critical research funding, through activities that include district meetings and on-going communication with Congressional leaders and State elected officials. In addition, she attends the Alzheimer's Association Advocacy Forum and Day on the Hill in Washington D.C. annually.
