Scout Skate Event at Howell Ice World

Cub Scouts and their families from all over Monmouth County came to Howell Ice World in Farmingdale on Sunday, April 28 for a Scout Skate event.

Volunteers from the local New Jersey Jr. Titans were on hand to help the Cub Scouts practice their skills needed for their Skating Belt Loop and Sport Pin.

Before they hit the ice, the Cub Scouts learned skating safety, how to dress properly and some stretching exercises.  Once on the ice, they played games and worked on their skating skills.

Boys Scouts completing their merit badge requirements were also at the event.

A "Skate Into Scouting" Event is planned for September 22 at the newly renovated Middletown Sports Complex. This event is open to any Monmouth Council Cub Scout, Boy Scout, their families and anyone interested in joining  Cub Scouting or Boy Scouting.
