Arrest Made In Death Of Middletown Man Run Over In Parking Lot
A man is now in custody in connection with the death of a Middletown man, who police say he argued with and then ran over in a parking lot:
OLD BRIDGE, NJ — A Sayreville man was arrested Friday and charged in the death of a Middletown man, who prosecutors say he argued with and then proceeded to run over multiple times in a parking lot Tuesday evening, killing him.
Marvin Tyler, 32, of Sayreville, has been arrested in connection with the death of Jason Freeman, 36, of Middletown.
The arrest was announced by Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone late Friday afternoon. Tyler was charged with first-degree aggravated manslaughter, plus weapons offenses, with the car being viewed as the weapon in this case.

This happened shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday: Old Bridge Police say they received a 911 call at 5:05 p.m., reporting an altercation in a parking lot at 100 Perrine Road.
The two men had gotten into an argument in the parking lot, and then police say Tyler got into his car and ran over Freeman multiple times. Tyler then fled the scene and remained at large until Friday.

Freeman succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in the parking lot. His death was ruled a homicide by the prosecutor.
The prosecutor did not disclose what the two were arguing about.
