Congratulations to members of CBA’s Pipes & Drums who received three awards from the Freehold Borough Council on June 2.
The band recently performed at Freehold’s 140th Memorial Day Parade, the largest parade in Monmouth County. CBA Pipes & Drums received first place for the Best Band Award, first place for the Best Youth Unit, and second place for the Judges Award.
CBA Pipes & Drums started in 2011 and is now in its second season of marching. The band is comprised of 20 students, most of whom had no prior experience. Frank Johnson provides instruction for the pipes, and Gordon Bell for the drums.
