Cherry Tree Village Condo Fire Saturday Morning In Middletown

The fire broke out at ​6:37 a.m. Saturday on Clubhouse Drive in Cherry Tree Village. It was a neighbor who first called 911.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — There was a fire early Saturday morning in Cherry Tree Village in North Middletown, according to the Middletown all-volunteer fire department.

The fire broke out at 6:37 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of Clubhouse Drive in Cherry Tree Village. It was a neighbor who first called 911 to report the flames.

Third Assistant Chief Antony Fulciniti found a working structure fire with heavy fire coming from the front of the middle unit. The condo where the fire started and both condos on either side were occupied.

Search and rescue teams searched all townhouses to make sure everyone got out.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Middletown Township Fire Marshal’s office and has not been publicly released. There were no injuries.

The fire was called under control by Middletown Township Fire Department Fire Chief John Friedman at 8:58 a.m.

Approximately 50 firefighters from six companies of the Middletown Township Fire Department responded to the call, from Community, East Keansburg, Belford Independent, Middletown Township Fire Company No. 1, River Plaza and Old Village Fire Companies.
