County Collecting Personal Protective Equipment At Thompson Park

If you want to help, you can now drop off masks and other much-needed supplies at Thompson Park. Monmouth County is collecting.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — If you'd like to help donate to efforts to help fight the spread of coronavirus, Thompson Park in Lincroft is now serving as a drop-off site for a wide range of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Personal protective equipment items needed include:

  • Nitrile examination gloves
  • Surgical or N95 masks
  • Protective gowns
  • Protective face shields
  • Multi-function no-contact infrared thermometers
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Anti-bacterial wipes

Donations of these items are being accepted at Thompson Park, 805 Newman Springs Road, in Lincroft, beginning Wednesday, March 25, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday. For additional information, or to arrange the drop-off of personal protective equipment, please call 732-842-4000, ext. 4312. The phone number is staffed every day, including weekends.

This collection effort is being run by Monmouth County. On Tuesday, Holmdel Mayor Greg Buontempo also started collecting those same items to give to first responders and healthcare workers at Bayshore.

"If you or someone you know has any equipment that you would like to donate please email me at mayor@holmdeltownship.com," Buontempo wrote. "We will make arrangements for a contact-less pickup of these supplies."

All donations will be distributed among Holmdel’s police, first aid and fire personnel. Any remaining items will be given to Bayshore Medical Center.

The Holmdel mayor is asking for:

  • Goggles
  • Disinfectant Wipes
  • Hospital Gowns
  • Chemical Protective Coveralls
  • Safety Glasses
  • 3M Brand P100 Disc Filters
  • Niosh Approved Half-Faced Respirators
  • Temporal Thermometer
  • Ear Thermometer Probe Covers
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Monetary Donations

The Monmouth County Health Department hotline, 732-845-2070, is open to answer general questions about COVID-19 weekdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

You can now also email them questions: MonmouthCOVID19@visitmonmouth.com at any time and they will be answered during normal business hours.

Nurses who are willing to volunteer, can call the COVID-19 hotline at 732-845-2070 or email MonmouthCOVID19@visitmonmouth.com.
