Lincroft Nail Salon Still Open After Small Fire

The nail salon near the Acme shopping center on Newman Springs Road in Lincroft is open after a very small fire, the owners said.

LINCROFT, NJ — A small fire occurred at a nail salon near the Acme shopping center on Newman Springs Road in Lincroft late Friday afternoon. Patch initially reported the fire destroyed the business, but this is inaccurate: It was a small fire, and the nail salon re-opened the next day for business as usual. We truly regret the error.

The business owners said they are very upset and don't want people thinking their shop is closed. It is open for business!

The fire was first reported at 3:13 p.m. Friday. A nail salon employee found smoke coming out of an electrical closet. He or she opened the closet and tried to put out the fire themselves with a fire extinguisher, but the extinguisher ran out, firefighters said. They evacuated the salon and called 911.
