MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Here's a first look at how the "Rise of Hope” fountain will look once it is built at the Middletown WTC Memorial Gardens. The fountain will feature pieces of the original World Trade Center towers.
The fountain will be located at the end of the memorial walkway. The WTC Memorial Gardens Committee is currently raising funds to help build it.
The gardens honor the 37 Middletown residents who were killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. It is located near the Middletown train station because that is how many of them commuted to work every day in Lower Manhattan.
