Hear Haunted Tales At Atlantic Highlands' Strauss Mansion Aug. 21

On Aug. 21, the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society will host a "very special evening of the paranormal" at the famed Strauss Mansion.

ATLANTIC HIGHANDS, NJ — On Aug. 21, the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society will host a "very special evening of the paranormal" at the famed Strauss Mansion in town.

Tickets are still available for the event, which goes from 7 p.m. to midnight at the mansion. Tickets are $50 per person.

Paranomal investigator and television personality Brian J. Cano will lead the evening. Cano will provide true tales of hauntings at the Strauss Mansion and lead tours of the estate and grounds. There will also be a paranormal round table, Q&A and more.

The Strauss Mansion is a classic Victorian-era property located in Atlantic Highlands, a historical town known for having dozens of extremely well-preserved turn-of-the-century homes. Perched on a hill, the Strauss Mansion has stunning views of Sandy Hook Bay. The 21-room home was built as a "summer cottage" for a wealthy New York City businessman and his wife; it was built in 1893, the height of the Gilded Age. It is said to be haunted.

Located only a few miles away from New York City, Atlantic Highlands was home to many lavish summertime, bay-front estates at the time. The Strauss Mansion is listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places.
