This is the water flosser- I would like to tell you a little bit about it and show you how easy it is to use.
It sprays a pulsating stream of water that removes the plaque from teeth and gums that can lead to gingivitis and gum disease. At the same time the pulsating action of the water stream gently massages the gums promoting healthy firm tissue.
It's great for all patients, those with crowns, permanent bridges, implants and it's terrific for cleaning around traditional metal braces. For some pt's it can be easier to do than regular flossing.
So, let's get started:
*This is the water reservoir- remove it -fill with warm water -- replace
*Select and insert tip-it will snap into position- turn this wheel to direct tip in desired section in mouth- to remove tip press this button
*This is the pause button-will temporarily stop water flow if needed
*This is the pressure control dial - start at lowest # may see some bleeding this will stop - then gradually increase pressure - many pt's benefit from higher setting.
*This is the power button- as soon as it is pressed on the water will instantly flow- so always place the tip in your mouth before turning on
*Lean over the sink- looking at the drain- close lips loosely around tip to allow the water to flow from mouth into sink
*Starting with the back teeth working your way forward-Aim the tip just above the gumline at a 90 degree angle follow the gumline pausing briefly between teeth and continue this around whole mouth
*When finished turn off unit--empty reservoir if needed- press the tip ejection button- in just 2 minutes you will have a healthier mouth that feels clean and refreshed.
