MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Last summer, filmmaker Kevin Smith, of "Clerks" and "Chasing Amy," opened a podcast theater in Middletown's Leonardo section.

Now, on his Sept. 30 podcast, Smith announced he'll be hosting upcoming Q&As at the theater with some pretty big names: Smith will be interviewing George R.R. Martin, who wrote the original book adapted into "Game of Thrones;" plus "Dawn of the Dead" filmmaker Zack Snyder and "Captain America" and "Avengers" directors the Russo Brothers.

It's unknown if these interviews will take place in person at the Middletown theater or will be virtual.

Smith's theater is called SModcastle Cinemas and it's at 58 Leonard Ave., only a few feet away from the original Quick Stop Groceries, the convenience store that famously appeared in the original "Clerks." It's been described as an "incredibly intimate black box theater." Here's the website: https://www.smodcastle.com/
