Meet The Winners Of Middletown's 'Dinger Derby'

Alfred "I hit dingers" Delia, 12, inspired Middletown to host its first-ever Dinger Derby Saturday. Here are the local kids who won:

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — Everyone remembers when Middletown's most famous Little Leaguer, Alfred "Big Al" Delia, captured the heart of the nation, and Jimmy Kimmel, earlier this summer.

The 12-year-old All-Star became an overnight fan favorite in August when he told the world "I hit dingers," after Middletown Little League had a historic run at the Little League World Series (they were eliminated in the final round before the Series).

Delia's fame inspired Middletown to host its very first "Dinger Derby" this past Saturday, Sept. 29 at Middletown Day.
