Middletown Expands DUI Patrols for the Holidays
Reminder that extra DUI patrols will be out starting Friday night.

Middletown, NJ - Using a $5,000 ”Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” grant from the state, Middletown township police will be running expanded DUI patrols throughout the township, a police spokesman tells Patch.
“We are running 25 roving DUI patrols from now until Christmas,” Deputy Chief Steve Dollinger of the Middletown Township Police told Patch Thursday. Patrols begin Friday, Dec. 11 and run through Jan. 1, 2016.
Woodbridge police already announced there will be DWI checkpoints on Rt. 9 and Rt. 184 starting Friday night.

The state Division of Highway Traffic Safety distributes the $5,000 grants to dozens of municipalities in New Jersey, with the aim of adding extra evening and weekend patrols to catch DUI drivers.
