Middletown Library Honors Local Residents
At its 100-year gala Oct. 29, held in 1920s jazz style, the Middletown Public Library honored the following residents:
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — At its first-ever Centennial Gala, the Middletown Public Library honored the following residents who either live or work in Middletown, and have made it a better place to live.
The honorees are pictured above and listed below.
At the party, more than 150 guests danced the night away in 1920s-style, a nod to when the Middletown Library was first founded in 1921.

Also at the event, it was newly announced that a new history and technology center will be coming to the Library, where the public can learn about Middletown's history, using the latest technological advancements such as virtual and augmented reality. Middletown's congressman, Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ4), also attended the event, held Oct. 29 at the library. He is pictured Library Board President William R. Bucco and Library Director Heather Andolsen.

Congressman Smith also entered the Middletown Library into the Congressional Record.

Jim Davis Jr., Terry Davis and Jim Davis Sr. of Whirl Construction (Business Generosity Award)
Abe and Linda Littenberg, owners of A Child’s Place School (Joyce Murphy Imagination in Education Award)
George, Vita and Richard Kolber (Outstanding Philanthropist Award)
Christine Giordano Hanlon, Esq., Monmouth County Clerk (Historic Preservation Award)
